Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox: Greatest Franchises of All Time
Welcome to a page dedicated to Boston area sports teams. The history of sports in Boston is respected and unmatched by any city in the country. New York may have the Yankees, but we have the Red Sox. No comparison. The Red Sox put up a good fight in the ALCS, but they got beat by a better team. Jimy Williams made a championship contender out of a team riddled with no-namers. The Celtics are on there way to championship status yet again. The acquisition of Rick Pitino from Kentucky shows that the Celtics' management are ready to build a team to match the green and white from the sixties through the eighties. The Bruins have finally come to terms with Byron Dafoe. After a slow start, they are on a hot streak right now. Jason Allison is ready to tear up the opposition. Sergei Samsonov is following suit and angering opposing goal tenders.
You may be wondering why the Patriots are not included in this tribute. Quite frankly, it's because they don't deserve it. I am not a Patriots fan. I don't believe they have done anything that warrants respect. The inconsistency of Drew Bledsoe teamed up with the "I should have been a high school counselor" attitude of Pete Carroll doesn't equal football respect, glory or anything for that matter.
This page is dedicated to my dad, who just got out of surgery. He's in Boston now, and I can't wait to visit. He's the reason I'm a fan. He's the reason I'm alive too. He's the reason I'm successful too. It's a lifelong struggle not to turn out like him. Just kidding. I love you dad.
